The Peruvian Andes
The location of Machu Picchu is surrounded by the Andes Mountains. Therefore, I included a picture of the mountain range. The mountains lie as a continuous chain surrounding Machu Picchu and other parts of South America.
For movement they used llamas, messengers, and bridges. I used a picture of an Incan women standing by a llama. I also found a great picture of an Andean bridge. The Incans built Andean bridges over canyons and gorges in the Andes Mountains.
The region was mountainous with many lakes. I included a picture of a lake with a mountainous background. It shows how large the lakes are and the giant size of the mountains.
Human environment interaction was expressed by a picture of a small part of a village with stone- walls. They also used lakes for boats and fishing. Most of the small villages shown in pictures were surrounded my mountains, including the picture in my project.
Physical and human characteristics included villages and towns in the mountain ranges. I included a picture of large mountains and a hillside- village with stone- walls. The picture shows the intense depth of this area.
